2005 - 2008:

Independent Filmmaker / Cross-culture Communication Advisor

My passion for visual storytelling and music kickstarted my career in creating music videos for some of my favourite bands and musicians in Wellington, New Zealand. Wellington was a haven for young filmmakers, offering significant creative freedom and generous support from agencies like New Zealand On Air and Creative New Zealand. I gained extensive hands-on experience in video editing, script and treatment writing, producing, and directing. Additionally, I took on various roles in cross-cultural communication within the industry, such as conducting user research for the success of The National Museum's exhibition tour in China, copywriting a campaign to encourage immigrant voters in the 2006 election, and serving as Sir Richard Taylor's personal interpreter for his guests from the China Film Group Corporation.

2009 - 2014: Producer

Dave Gibson is a legend and someone I have always Idolised in the New Zealand TV and film industry. Shortly after wrapping up the filming of a music video for Barnaby Weir, I received a phone call from the Gibson Group. The Producer role at Gibson Group marked a significant leap in my career. I generated comprehensive marketing materials for the company in both print and video formats and represented the company in the 2009 Mayoral Delegation. This involvement led to my subsequent position on the committee for the council's business network group and the Wellington Xiamen Association. I became brand-focused, overseeing all aspects of production criteria to ensure the right appeal for the target audience. I remained attuned to emerging business opportunities and consistently developed captivating creative ideas to secure projects. I successfully secured a docu-series from Education New Zealand and the design of the Musical Instrument exhibition at Xiamen Museum.

2015 - 2020:

Pre-Production Treatment and Copywriting

After parting with Gibson Group, I embarked on a new chapter in life, moving to Ireland and embracing parenthood. During this period, while dedicating myself to care for my children, I focused on remote work, primarily in the preproduction phase of various projects. I developed treatments for a cooking show featuring Irish celebrity chef Rachel Allen and wrote scripts and plays for performance art schools, one of which won Best Script at the National Performing Arts Competition. Additionally, I crafted the treatment and script for China's first luxury train commercial, balancing my creative work with the responsibilities of parenthood.
